★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate lunch here in August 2018 with a group of 11 friends and family. We love this family owned “Osteria!” The Pasta Pici Pomodoro was the best pasta dish we have had in Italy. The waiter, Simone, was excellent and gave us a tour including the kitchen and Cisterna (well) which dates back to 400 AD. 5 Stars all the way. Grazie Mille!!

We were there for the New Year’s Eve dinner and we were delighted by a series of dishes with homelike feeling but of great quality and taste! Also the owner is a true entertainer, generous and very good at making everybody comfortable. If you happen to be in Volterra you should definitely try it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience - food and service! The owner Geppo made a suggestion and we absolutely loved it! You must try the lard crostini with fresh truffles!? It melts in your mouth like butter! The pici al cinghiale (pici pasta with boar ragù) is hearty and delightful!We went twice in 2 weeks, definitely worth a stop if you’re looking for a place to eat in Volterra!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to try wild boar. It might take a while for servers to take an order in peak hours. We had a great toast with lard, egg and truffle which was not on the menu, and cost 2.5 euro for two people - a nice addition to traditional Tuscan dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was good, the pasta tasted great but that was more the boar sauce, as the homemade pasta itself could of been more a’dente (was very soft). It’s obviously famous for this dish so it is very batch cooked. Reasonably priced though.
