★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have a house nearby and called in yesterday for the first time to buy prosciutto (delicious), bread etc. What a wonderful place. Superb local produce. Excellent wine selection and fair prices. Lovely people. We will be back with friends for supper soon. On Thursday evenings there are themed meals and every week is different. Next week is goose, yesterday salt cod. This is a new business and they deserve to be very successful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited the place on a Sunday for lunch. The food was good but the service was poor. In 2.5 hours we only got antipasti. We asked for the menu 3 times, tried to order more drinks but no one was looking. Half of the antipasti was not in stock (bruschetta, caprese). Waitress was not having her best day. Eventually we decided to leave without having more food.

The story tells of a young girl possessed by the Devil, whom the exorcist made to drink local wine, thus managing to drive out the Devil. From the great Sagrantino grape, a great grape and a great wine.
Sagrantino is a grape variety foubf only in the territory of Montefalco, Bevagna, Gualdo Cattaneo, Castel Ritaldi and Giano dell’Umbria, all in the province of Perugia. Our meal consisted of tomato crostini, tagliatelle fare in casa alla vera “norcina”, a perfectly cooked contrafiletto di vitello all griglia with rosemary all washed down with Scacciadiavolo sagrantino and Spumante Brut
