Piatti veramente ottimi, sapori molto delicati e ricercati partendo però dalla tradizione culinaria locale, grande varietà di vini, personale cortese e professionale. Inoltre il giovane titolare Leandro è veramente molto simpatico e genuino, abbiamo trascorso una bella serata in compagnia. Sicuramente ci torneremo. CONSIGLIATISSIMI. Very nice restaurant located in the center of Empoli, also equipped with outdoor tables. Truly excellent dishes, very delicate and refined flavors starting from the local culinary tradition, great variety of wines, courteous and professional staff. In addition, the young owner Leandro is really very nice and genuine, we spent a nice evening in company. We will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Entri e nel locale con le sue luci diffuse ti fa sentire in un posto rilassante e particolare. La signora che ci accoglie gentilissima e piena di consigli. Dopo il piccolo assaggio offertoci: abbiamo degustato degli ottimi spaghetti Cacio e Pepe; Zuppa di Cipolle (buonissima) a seguire: Crostone con frittella di ceci e cipollotti (mmm!); Sformatino di Pecorini di Pienza (profumo e bontà); Frittelline di pollo con salse. (Buone) accompagnato il tutto con del buon Rosso Chianti "il Leccione 2018". Bravi, complimenti a tutto il personale, dentro e fuori dalla Cucina. March 12, 2022. Do you want a particular place where kindness and goodness go hand in hand? Found. You enter and the room with its diffused lights makes you feel in a relaxing and particular place. The lady who welcomes us very kind and full of advice. After the small tasting offered to us: we tasted excellent spaghetti Cacio e Pepe; Onion soup (very good) to follow: Crostone with chickpea pancake and spring onions (mmm!); Pecorino di Pienza flan (aroma and goodness); Chicken pancakes with sauces. (Good) accompanied all with good Rosso Chianti "il Leccione 2018". Well done, congratulations to all the staff, inside and outside the kitchen.

No English menu, but you know that is a good thing as it gets you trying different things. Food was really good, tasty and well presented. All washed down with a couple of glasses of red wine. No beer is served here, only wine. Prices pretty good as well. All in all a relaxing evening. Recommended.

The chef plays a lot with the flavors and designs dishes with very rare ingredients (in our case black garlic, and aged anchovies liquid) - The chef Leandro is unbelievably friendly. Since we didn't speak a word Italian, he took the time to introduce the menu to us, dish by dish in English. You really see his passion for food when he did, it's contagious and you see this back in the food. - The prices are very fair, good even when you see the quality. We (2 people) dined for roughly 60/70 euro - The menu changes every month, which means even more amazing dishes. All in all, the experience at Osteria IL Papero really made our stay in Empoli. Thanks to Leandro and his crew for thins amazing experience.
