★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t know what the people who posted 2 stars are saying about the food. We’re a family of four and whatever we ordered was simply outstanding. As a Greek I know about lamb, and that’s exactly what I ordered. Well, that was the best lamb I’ve had (and I won’t tell my mum about it). I don’t want to even talk about the deserts.
I give 5 stars for a simple reason: because I cannot give 6. If I ever come back to Volterra, I’ll make sure to book in advance.
Congratulations. I’ll remember this lamb…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good food, in a nice setting, with a beautiful view from the patio.
The atmosphere is relaxed and service good and attentive. Price is fair for location and quality.
They serve really good bread of different kinds and the olive oil made by the owners.
Food is a modern interpretation of Italian dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was ok, 7/10, very nice terrace with views, but somehow disappointed that we saw after we ordered how other people (not tourists like us) were offered a daily menu/formula (not just one table, but some), and we were not. Not necessarily that I would have chosen that, but felt like we (and many other tourists around in other tables) were not treated equally.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent Tuscan food with great tasting house wine. Had the gnocchi which were very flavorful and the best tiramisu of our trip so far. Friendly owners. So glad we stopped!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Volterra is a magical place, and this restaurant is an ideal place to be for sunset after a day of exploring. The food and wine are very fine, and the service warm and seemingly effortless yet quite efficient. There is a little parking nearby, but we parked near the Etruscan ruins and climbed the steep stairs to work up an appetite for handmade pasta.
I prefer the tucked away location to the more noisy restaurants around the town square.
