Absolutely amazing food! It was not only super tasty - all we ate was delicious, fresh and made with this 'something' you need to have while cooking. It's hard to define but it was an experience for true fooders. The food is simple, Tuscan, fresh and has a distinctive taste - just all you need. I highly recommend pasta - even simple spaghetti with tomato, garlic and peperocino souse can taste simple amazing! The staff was also excellent - super nice, speaking English enough to not cause any misunderstandings. It was really pleasant evening. I'm gonna be back there for sure!

Delicious dining establishment in downtown Montecatini, Tuscany. A selection of local favorites (wild boar anyone) and classics, as well. Very reasonably priced and the decor is an antique wonder.

We decided to dine in the restaurant based on the promising reviews on the internet. The first impression was good. The design is really unique and attractive. However, this is just a trick to attract the tourists. The menu was composed of sophisticated names of the dishes, so we thought we would try something delicious. To our disappointment, the dishes were not as described in the menu. It was very alike to a meal you would eat in a fast food place like KFC. Fried chicken and potatoes. Furthermore, my chicken breast was cold inside and had a rubbery texture. To top this up, my wine glass was broken. We also waited some time for this dishes, more than in an usual restaurant. And we received warmed up pieces of chicken. Overall, very poor quality compared to price. This is not the Italian cuisine as we tasted it in other high-ended places here in Tuscany!

Decided to have dinner here with my husband. When we asked questions about the pasta from the waiter, he got defensive. I simply asked what the difference is between the non pasteurized and the pasteurized pasta because I am pregnant. I reckoned his English was bad and he did not know how to react. However, becoming so defensive to us did not leave a great impression. Due to this negative first encounter we decided to only have one of the starters (to share) and a primi. For the primi, I ordered β€œfusilli pasta with white potatoes rague from the farmyard” (first on the list of primi). My husband ordered the pasta of the day. To my surprise, the pasta had some kind of meat. At first I thought the waiter must have by mistake given me the wrong pasta. So to confirm I asked what the fusilli was accompanied with. He told me it was chicken and rabbit. My husband tried my primi, as I started questioning my reading skills. To our surprise my husband had received the exact same as me but just another pasta. Furthermore, the pasta also had liver in it (note I’m pregnant!). Disappointed in a dish that was stated on the menu as being vegetarian, we complained to the waiter. Who (ones again) reacted defensive, and try to convince that β€œfrom the farmyard” ment chickens and rabbit. After us saying that we do not want anything else (as it seemed to be at the convenience of the chef what you’ll be getting), the cook arrived (Roberto). We don’t speak Italian, but from the Spanish we speak, we understood that the waiter also tried to explain to the the chef that the menu does not match what is actually being served. With huge disappointment we left the restaurant, feeling cheated and having to argue with the waiter. Definitely a tourist trap. With deep regret, we should have searched up this place, and it would have been obvious that this is not the place to eat in Montecantini terme! Avoid at all times.

The atmosphere was amazing. The food and service was wonderful. The pasta is made fresh in the kitchen as it should be. Their pear salad with cheese was a great treat. Their traditional pasta with sauce and cheese was rich and delicious. Our server was also the owner, he had good humor and attention. He definitely added to the meal. We wjole heartily recommend.

Do not go. Outside and inside painted to look nicely rustic, but complete tourist trap. Bad service. Waiter wore mask under his chin and coughing occasionally, once on a piece of raw meat he carried to the kitchen. Sitting inside, no one checked Green Pass. Menu incorrectly translated, then waiter tries to convince you that you misunderstood (ordered vegetarian due to pregnancy but got liver and mixed meat in the pasta). Staff made very big commotion when we informed of incorrect menu (main cook Roberto did not care at all about the issue, probably happens often), overall very unpleasant experience ☹️. Left immediately after primi/liver incident to another restaurant. Very disturbing experience. Would never go back! Absolutely do not recommend! Avoid!! Save yourself the dissatisfaction, bad service and money, go somewhere else.

We are so very happy we stopped in here! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed! The atmosphere, service, and food were all exceptional! The Tortelli di Patate alla Mugellana al Sugo di Carne Toscano was awesome! Then, my husband and I decided to split the Bistecca alla Fiorentina. It was AMAZING! My husband likes his meat a little less cooked than I do, and without me even asking, it was offered to me to have my portion at the steak cooked a little longer! The steak was exquisite! My husband said, β€œThis steak has the best flavor of any steak I’ve ever eaten,” and that says a lot! Then came dessert… Oh! My! It, too, was sooo good! In other words, if you’re in Montecatini, this is a MUST!
