★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La vera osteria di campagna: ambiente familiare, ottimo cibo, servizio preciso e curato. La chicca: ottimo caffè fatto con la moka, ma anche le crostate sono spettacolari! Perfetto anche come punto di ristoro per una merenda dopo una bella pedalata sull' argine del Po.
The real country inn: family atmosphere, excellent food, precise and accurate service. The gem: excellent coffee made with mocha, but also the pies are spectacular! Also perfect as a refreshment point for a snack after a nice ride on the Po embankment.

Sì trova letteralmente a ridosso dell'argine del grande fiume, dove consiglio di fare una passeggiata dopo il pranzo, che per quanto mi riguarda è consistito in un classico antipasto di ottimi affettati, un bis di risotto e agnolotti, e un trittico di arrosti (vitello, coniglio e faraona), tenerissimi e saporiti, conclusione con crostata casalinga e caffè fatto con la moka.
Non aspettatevi sorprese particolari dalla cucina, né guizzi creativi, ma tanta tradizione coniugata con sapiente utilizzo di ottime materie prime.
In sala Renato dispensa perle di saggezza in tipico (e per me commovente) dialetto locale.
It is a place out of time, it has the typical charm of "non-places".
Yes, it is literally close to the bank of the great river, where I recommend taking a walk after lunch, which as far as I'm concerned consisted of a classic appetizer of excellent cold cuts, an encore of risotto and agnolotti, and a triptych of roasts ( veal, rabbit and guinea fowl), very tender and tasty, ending with a homemade tart and coffee made with mocha.
Do not expect particular surprises from the kitchen, nor creative flashes, but a lot of tradition combined with the wise use of excellent raw materials.
In the room Renato dispenses pearls of wisdom in a typical (and for me moving) local dialect.
