β β β β β The best carbonara Iβve had while being in Rome! ? The Tiramisu and house wine were also great. The service really friendly. Totally recommend it ?

β β β β β Spent my birthday here in June. Found this place because of Anthony Bourdain and it did not disappoint one bit. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was very classic Roman and very comforting. Donβt skip the tripe! I would recommend this to anyone looking for classic Roman cuisine.

β β β β β So, we are four full days into our trip and have come to Rome. We started looking at where to eat and decided to try this place out due to the high reviews and Anthony Bourdainβs visit. This is the best place we have been to so far; there were three of us dining and we all shared a bit from our meals so we could all sample a bit more. Fantastic! This is the best meal weβve had in our trip to date and a significantly better dining experience than the others in Italy. Be prepared; if your Italian is not proficient, you will likely need to use a translator app, but that only added to the fun and experience.

This was the best place we ate at in Italy. We stayed in Milan, Venice, Rome, Naples, Florence, and Pisa; only one other place came close on food, but nowhere near the experience.

β β β β β Proper Roman Osteria, which served us one of the best meals we've had in Rome. Lovely homemade pasta, mix of traditional and more innovative sauces. Starters (spinach, nuts & bacon, or fried artichoke) were faultless. The Osteria special desert (Chantilly cream, fruit, pastry, dark chocolate) even better. Service was relaxed and fun in the best Roman way. When visitors can come again, this is where we'll take them! An instant favourite!

β β β β β The food was really not good
The worst cacio e pepe I've had in Rome so far
The meatballs are NOT meatballs they are fried meat nuggets with no sauce at all
The three dishes we wanted were already finished since lunch (as it was Sunday night I will let this pass)
The pasta with cod fish was also bad
And to finish it up the staff were not friendly at all.
I DON'T RECOMMEND IT
I took the photos before eating but the food not worthy to be shot so no food photos

β β β β β Excellent traditional, home cooked Roman food. We started our meal with scrambled eggs with truffle oil and fried pumpkin flowers, followed by two primo dishes of pasta with pecorino cheese, then secondo meals of ox tail braised in tomato sauce and breaded meatballs. All with a bottle of white wine. Everything was excellent. The owner was very gracious and gifted me one of the drinking glasses, as I had not been able to find them any other place to purchase them. Nearly everyone else in the restaurant knew the owner and waiter, so they must have been doing something right for the last 90 years! Highly recommend if you are in the area or within walking distance!

β β β β β We were visited this restaurant and we were impressed because of design, very warm atmosphere, especially we liked to dish that we tried. It was delicious, and unforgettable pleasure. We strongly recommend to visit this place and to try this truly Rome traditional kitchen

β β β β β Really really good food & fair prices. The portions couldβve been a liiiiittle bigger but then again - enjoyment is not connected to the quantity but the quality of food. And the quality was excellent. Loved the tiramisu! Would definitely come back :)
