F	Fabio Accornero on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ gli “Orridi”: questa spettacolare espressione della natura risale all’ultima delle quattro glaciazioni che si sono formate nelle Alpi, chiamata più precisamente “Glaciazione Wurmiana”, avvenuta da 75000 a 8300 anni fa, quando questa porzione di territorio era coperta da uno spessore di ghiaccio che superava i 1000 metri. L’azione erosiva dell’acqua contenente detriti costituiti da sabbia e ciottoli, diramata in vari torrenti che scorrevano sulle rocce composte da micascisti dove appoggiava il ghiacciaio, ha creato delle lunghe e profonde fenditure simili a crepacci chiamati per l’appunto “Orridi”. Nell’arco dei millenni il Fiume Toce si è poi incanalato in un unico letto ben preciso spostato verso est, generando altre forre spettacolari come quella di Arvera purtroppo non percorribile, lasciando questi solchi asciutti e quindi visitabili. the "Gorges": this spectacular expression of nature dates back to the last of the four glaciations that formed in the Alps, more precisely called "Wurmian Glaciation", which took place from 75000 to 8300 years ago, when this portion of territory was covered by a thickness of ice that exceeded 1000 meters. E	Emanuela on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meraviglioso! Ci sono molti orridi qui in zona, tutti molto suggestivi da visitare. In una sola gita è possibile esplorarli tutti volendo perché sono vicino tra di loro e le discese non sono particolarmente lunghe. Alcuni sono visibili subito vicino alla strada, come quello di Arvera, mentre per altri, come quelli di Uriezzo, bisogna scendere, ma quelli in cui si può entrare sono anche i più spettacolari!!! Marvelous! There are many ravines here in the area, all very suggestive to visit. In a single trip you can explore them all if you want because they are close to each other and the descents are not particularly long. Some are visible immediately near the road, like that of Arvera, while for others, like those of Uriezzo, you have to go down, but those you can enter are also the most spectacular !!!
