Costruito nel '500, è una delle 4 chiese affacciate su questa piazza; potrebbe passare inosservato perchè l'ingresso è un po' nascosto, fra la Chiesa di San Francesco e l'Oratorio di San Bernardino. Di particolare interesse troviamo la cappella della Pietà che contiene una tela rappresentate S. Caterina d'Alessandria (recentemente restaurata) e, in una teca, una scultura lignea che rappresenta Cristo. La scultura veniva issata sulla croce in occasione di una delle processioni principali in paese. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna, ieri, di essere guidati da due signori del posto -membri della confraternita che si prende cura di questo oratorio. La confraternita ha origini antichissime e una storia davvero affascinante. Durante la visita, un quartetto di archi stava facendo delle prove per un concerto, rendendo l'atmosfera davvero speciale. Visto che l'oratorio non viene aperto quasi mai, vi consiglio di contattare il comune per organizzare una visita.

Built in the 16th century, it is one of the 4 churches facing this square; it could go unnoticed because the entrance is a little hidden, between the Church of San Francesco and the Oratory of San Bernardino. Of particular interest we find the chapel of the Pietà which contains a canvas depicting St. Catherine of Alexandria (recently restored) and, in a reliquary, a wooden sculpture representing Christ. The sculpture was hoisted on the cross on the occasion of one of the main processions in the town. We had the good fortune yesterday to be guided by two local gentlemen - members of the brotherhood that takes care of this oratory. The brotherhood has ancient origins and a truly fascinating history. During the visit, a string quartet was rehearsing for a concert, making the atmosphere truly special. Since the oratory is almost never open, I recommend that you contact the municipality to organize a visit.
