Per mancanza di fondo - sich! - il WWF non è più in grado di gestirla e quindi le passerelle di legno si stanno pian piano distruggendo, la postazione-osservatorio sul Lago Grande è quasi inservibile per ammirare la fauna senza disturbarla, alcuni dei sentieri stanno pian piano scomparendo. Ormai è anche diventato impossibile "chiudere ad anello" il periplo dell'Oasi: la zona paludosa nei pressi del Carcere è infatti del tutto impraticabile (una volta ci si passava abbastanza tranquillamente con dei semplici stivali) e pericolosa se non si sa esattamente dove attraversare. L'unica nota positiva è che la fauna tipica del luogo sembra aumentare di anno in anno: forse è meglio così, se il WWF non è in grado di gestirla, allora è meglio che Madre Natura si riprenda ciò che è suo. The Bassone Oasis has been in decline for far too many years. For lack of fund - sich! - the WWF is no longer able to manage it and therefore the wooden walkways are slowly being destroyed, the observation post on the Lago Grande is almost useless to admire the fauna without disturbing it, some of the paths are slowly disappearing. By now it has also become impossible to "ring" the circumnavigation of the Oasis: the swampy area near the Prison is in fact completely impracticable (once you passed it quite easily with simple boots) and dangerous if you do not know exactly where to cross. . The only positive note is that the typical fauna of the place seems to increase from year to year: perhaps it is better this way, if the WWF is not able to manage it, then it is better for Mother Nature to take back what is hers.

Luoghi del genere impongono di tenere i cani al guinzaglio e di limitare i rumori così da non disturbare gli animali selvatici nidificanti nell'area, purtroppo queste imposizioni non vengono spesso seguite al coro di "il mio cane è bravo, anche lui merita di godersi questi posti!" No. Il cane merita di essere portato a passeggio con il guinzaglio, non di disturbare le nidificazioni liberamente grazie all'ignoranza di certi padroni.
