NUN Assisi Relais & SPA Museum

The place looks amazing and the sauna and steam rooms are beautifully organized. But the treatments and below average. The technical who did the massage was abnormally fast with her hands. It felt like a tornado and manicure and pedicure was a waste of money to be honest.

The expectations were much higher than the reality! Food wise was OK, nothing special, the pigeon was good cooked (reason why I put the third star, otherwise not even that). The quail as starter it has presented from the waitress as pigeon, which I had chosen for main course. A bit upside down the price of the wine, the famous bottle with the right price, the more unknown very high charged. " Maitre D' " not attentive at the service, to relaxed and unfocused, maybe cause too many tourist in T-shirt which gave a sense of a cheap pizzeria, but they probably are the one which bring the most money into the draw! The most negative part is when the chef, Mazzella, which want to be known, does not even say a simple " hi " when he pass by the table, very disappointed about it! L'aspettativa era di gran lunga molto piú di quello che questo locale mi ha offerto nel suo insieme! Il cibo era ok, niente di che, Il piccione era cotto bene (ne é valsa la testa stella come voto) la quaglia come antipasto mi é stata presentata come piccione che appunto ho preso come secondo. Carta dei vini con prezzi tutti da interpretare, etichette blasonate con il giusto ricarico, altre meno conosciute con prezzi alti.... Il Maitre di sala non at tento al servizio, come se fosse distratto, forse dovuto ai tanti turisti in maglietta, che davano un senso di essere in una qualsiasi pizzeria, ma da dove probabilmente arrivano i soldi che riempono il cassetto. Nota negativa, lo chef, Mazzella, Il quale vuole esser riconosciuto, ma quando passa accanto Al tavolo non dice nemmeno un semplice "ciao" una vera delusione!

Relaxing spa in a beautiful place with fragrant herb aroma cannot be better than anything after a long train/bus ride as a traveller. Two different warming up rooms and dry sauna and humid sauna and icy cold fragrant room with cold shower and then spa in big pool like area was great!!! The restaurant also serves the most delicious gourmet food.

It didn't meet expectations. Some staff members are extremely nice, but other were not friendly when asked for info. Rooms are nice but for the price they charge, there is not even a bottle of water offered.

I can't say enough about our wonderful stay here. It was a relaxing oasis in a beautiful city. We loved the marriage of the old and new in this space. The breakfast offering was lovely and very tasty and the staff was gracious and accommodating. I am already devising a plan to return to spend more time here. It was truly spectacular. A very memorable and romantic space to spend our honeymoon.

The location, design, rooms and spa are beautiful. However, the bar and breakfast service was poor. The personnel is very nice but the experience seems to be missing among the waiters who also act as barman. There were a couple of important details that unfortunately were missing but expected from a five stars hotel.

Magical experience begining with room 10 and the 15th century fresco in our stunning, well appointed room. The 1st CE Roman baths, aka Spa Museum, is available all day to guests. It is very special and extremely relaxing. We enjoyed the couple's massage in a Roman cave. Do not miss the adjacent hotel restaurant for an exquisite dinner with the best views in Assisi. Breakfast was excellent. I look forward to our return to this beautiful village and the Nun.

If you are ever in Rome. I highly recommend taking the train ride up to Assisi. The trip is worth it, and this SPA/Museum, really does stand out among outer spas I’ve been to. Even with all the attractions that Rome has to offer, surprisingly my stay here was the most memorable and best part of the trip.
