I rend a car for 2 days and the gay take from my VISA first the money fro the rent and after 3 weeks 300 euro more!

we tried to hire a car twice in vain; although we were promised a car (oral contract), we didn`t get one; the lady in charge said she does not have a crystal bowl to see if a car is available;
sorry to have to give a star at all

β β β β β Be careful when renting a car by internet from abroad. We booked through Avis (which is now merged with Maggiore in San Remo) Germany for a reasonable price per day for 6 days. When we picked up the car, we learned that this price covers only the most basic insurance.
For full coverage they asked another 40 EUR...per Day. Which was more then I had to pay for the car itself. We finally agreed on a reduced coverage for 18 EUR per day. However, this kind of sales policies lures people into rental contracts and leaves them no choice either to swallow the extra cost or not to rent at all. This is an unacceptable behavior and I will certainly open a claim with Avis Germany about this.
Other than that, the people were friendly and the car was in a good condition.

β β β β β So we booked two cars by 8:30, arrived there at 8:50 and had to wait for 1.5 hours to finally depart. Both cars were dirty and one car had an empty fuel tank by the time we arrived. They didn't even apologize.
Service wasn't really nice. Lady thought it's ok to raise your voice on your customers. Some guy said that checking a car for dents and scratches before you sign the papers is ridiculous. I you have any other options to rent a car, go to any other company. The only nice thing about this company is that they have a DS3 for rent.

β β β β β The people at this particular franchise were good to work with, but Avis has its problems. Tried to redo our reservation and they just couldn't figure out how to make it work. The car was exactly what I thought it would be and the rate was reasonable.

β β β β β Never again! Bad service and no refund after been droven around on top of a tow car for hours. Had to take a taxi to Savona for getting a new car. They never gave us back the money they promised us. 170 Euro down the drain! Stay away!
