Very nice clean rooms. Fully remodeled and modern. Continental breakfast was included every morning. Very close to the Vatican and the Metro subway. Angelo the owner was very helpful in explaining the Metro and recommending food and must see sites!

Be aware that this is more of a BnB that a hotel. It wasn't that this was hidden on Travelocity (where we booked), but that fact was not made obvious, either. Our cab driver did not drop us off at the actual location and was not very helpful on where the building actually was. We had to ask twice to strangers (who were very kind) on where we were trying to get to. Once we located the building, the call button panel outside had no mention of New Design St. Peter. Luckily, the door was already open. When we entered, because of our own ignorance, we didn't know that we needed to find a specific building/stair letter F. We eventually realized that and, of course, the door was locked getting up that stairway. That call button panel DID have a button for New Design St. Peter. We pressed it, talked, pressed more, but no response. We were completely done at this point. As we went to leave, Angelo from the location came down and caught up with us. From then on, everything was amazing. Angelo was the best in showing us a great map and how to get around the city, he offered suggestions (and discounts) on nearby amazing places to eat. The room was small, but tidy and fantastic with beautiful details. And the location was THREE MINUTES from the Vatican museums and three minutes from a tube stop! Wish I could give 4.5 stars, only taking off .5 for the initial experience when we first arrived. Will absolutely stay here again if we visit again.

Lovely place. Angelo is a wonderful host and went out of his way with tourist advice, bringing breakfast and printing off our itinerary. Rooms are nice and the gardens below are beautiful. Right next to the Vatican and some great restaurants (PummaRe for amazing pizza and Fatamorgana for the best gelato you’ll have). Only issue is not having milk or milk powder available in the room with the coffee sachets and entry when you first arrive is a tiny bit complicated. Be sure to call him as soon as you arrive so he can let you into the building. Otherwise, a great stay!

Stayed here with my wife and 5 year old daughter while we were exploring Rome for 3 nights. It’s a great location, very convenient to see the Vatican museums and Angelo (host) is a fantastic gentleman going above and beyond to make everything just perfect.

Comfortable room with modern bathroom. Good location walking distance from the Vatican and Ottaviano metro station. Lots of good local cafes and restaurants close by. Please note that this is a guest house. Breakfast is at a cafe virtually next door. Would recommend.

Stayed here for two nights, first stop of our eurotrip. Co-owner Angelo couldn’t have made it any better for us. He was a spectacular host, very hospitable and warming. Finding the hotel can be a challenge for some. We were slightly confused until a random person helped us get in. The hotel is located within a small block of residential buildings that are very secure. Buzz your way in or find someone for help. The lift going up has old school manual doors and is tiny (go to 4th floor of Building β€œF”). The entry door to the β€œlobby” is like Fort Knox. Very secure as well with a pin code needed. Once inside, the rooms are very cozy and incredibly updated; very modern. Breakfast is delivered to your room for free and you can choose what you want and at what time. We were simply tickled with that kind of service! Angelo held our bags while we waited for our room since we got in very early, and he gave us a map and explained the area and transportation options very well in English. We would definitely stay there again in the future!

My husband came across this place when we were searching for a place to stay in Rome and I’m glad he did! Angelo goes above and beyond to accommodate his guests. The other two staff members are very friendly every day they cleaned our room and bathroom even if I slept in a little over the time that they were supposed to clean the room by (12:00pm) they still came by and straightened the area. They also have breakfast as an option here which is nice first day is free after that I think it’s 5 euro which is not bad for all that you have the option of getting! The place is a little hard to find on your first day as other reviews have stated (it’s in a residential building) but once you figure it out it’s a piece of cake. For the money and service this place was very enjoyable and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. You will not be disappointed! :)

It has been a pleasure staying at New Design St.Peter. The rooms are very clean and the owners are very helpful. They recommended us great locations and made it possible for us to arrive in the middle of the night.
