★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really friendly kind helpful staff, great appetizers with a lot of stuff to pick up even for celiacs, people with no dairy restrictions or veggies. But, above all, great draft beers: bombardiers, classic Guinness, welcome McEvans (even if lager only). Best place in town for appetizers especially if you have food issues, almost only place in town for good appetizers during winter time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Servizio pessimo..Mai piu!! There is no communication from the waiter, who will just slam a reservation sign on your table whilst you're still enjoying your drink. Don't arrive before 19:00 because there's nothing except for beer, prosecco or wine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Guy on the bar was cool and happy to chat in English. We were early so they didn't expect food but still accommodated us well and it was superb when it arrived, clans and tuna. Beers are decent too. Also music was nice and balearic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my husband ended up at Nelson Tavern by coincidence. We were walking through Livorno with our dogs, started feeling hungry (before their opening time) and tried our luck to see if we would already by able to have something small before their dinner shift. The staff was extremely helpful and immediately welcomed us in (including our dogs, Italians really are the best people!)
We started off with a charcuterie plate and after that we both had a spaghetti, my husband ordered the sea food spaghetti and I tried the bottarga spaghetti. Man, those flavours really hit home... The chef really knows his food art! The waitor suggested a great wine which would go great with the dish and he really didn't disappoint!
If you're ever in Livorno: don't go anywhere else before you went to Nelson Tavern and say hi to them from us ;-).

Delicious food and incredible cocktails!!
And last but not least very friendly owners and staff will make you feel right at home!!

Me and my girlfriend we love to eat here, best food you can eat in Livorno with very good prices to.
