Pitigliano is an open history book. Wonderful. A little gem that must be supported. So much history enclosed in so few km2 of city. It should be visited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No es mi caso ser un seguidor de la dieta kosher, tal vez por el hecho de no tener raíces hebreas, pero me parece muy bien que Pitigliano se acuerde de las tradiciones gastronómicas de este numeroso grupo étnico y ponga una tienda a su disposición en pleno casco histórico para que puedan adquirir sus productos. Aplaudo tan certera decisión.
It is not my case to be a follower of the kosher diet, perhaps due to the fact that I do not have Hebrew roots, but I think it is very good that Pitigliano remembers the gastronomic traditions of this numerous ethnic group and puts a store at his disposal in full old town so they can buy their products. I applaud such an accurate decision.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A museum for the history of jews in pitiligano from the 16th century. There is a winery, a kosher bakery for matzot, a synagogue, a bath (mikve) and more. Very interesting to witness.

What a pity there is no-one to pray there, anymore.
(But the ladies at the museum were very kind and they let me in whenever I wanted to.)

A museum that contains a real jewish experience from the past days of the local jewish community. The entrance costs 5€ and you get an entrance (self guided) for ancient winery, butchery, forno, synagauge etc. Nearby there is also a convenient store with few kosher products.
