Site almost unknown to non-experts. Extraordinary finds, such as the statue of Charon, two winged Sphinxes and three lions lying down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Suggestiva necropoli etrusca situata a Cerveteri tra le due principali, la Banditaccia e Monte Abatone. Vi risiede la monumentale tomba di Caronte, in origine decorata con stucchi, fregi, modanature e finte porte. È presente, inoltre, in questa necropoli un complesso termale costruito successivamente in età augustea.
Suggestive Etruscan necropolis located in Cerveteri between the two main ones, the Banditaccia and Monte Abatone. The monumental tomb of Caronte resides there, originally decorated with stuccoes, friezes, moldings and fake doors. Moreover, in this necropolis there is a thermal complex built later in the Augustan age.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Necropoli modesta rispetto alla sorella maggiore della banditaccia ma cmq affascinante il sito nella fascia tufacea con Altare importante che domina la valle e notevole l edicola ad angolo scavata nel tufo con affresco.
Modest necropolis compared to the older sister of the banditaccia but anyway fascinating is the site in the tufaceous band with an important altar overlooking the valley and a remarkable corner shrine carved into the tuff with fresco.

The necropolis is closed. We hope in the future it will open at least for guided tours. The photos refer to the tufaceous ridge that faces it.
