LA CHIUSURA AL PUBBLICO DELLA BIBLIOTECA DEI GEROLAMINI HA PORTATO GRAVISSIMO NOCUMENTO ALLE MIE RICERCHE. AVEVO FREQUENTAVO ASSIDUAMENTE LA BIBLIOTECA IN PARTICOLARE PER IL FONDO VALLETTA CHE, COME SI SA, COMPRENDE I VOLUMI DELLA BIBLIOTECA DI GIUSEPPE VALLETTA INTENSAMENTE FRUITA DA GIAMBATTISTA VICO QUANDO IL VALLETTA ERA VIVO E CHE LO STESSO VICO, ALLA MORTE DEL VALLETTA, FECE ACQUISTARE DAI PADRI DELL'ORATORIO DOPO AVER FATTO COMPILARE UN CATALOGO COMPLETO DI ESSA BIBLIOTECA. EBBENE, OLTRE AL DANNO GRAVISSIMO CONSISTENTE NEL NON POTER CONSULTARE I LIBRI, NON MI è CONCESSO NEPPURE DI OTTENERE UNA RIPRODUZIONE DEL CATALOGO MANOSCRITTO DI CUI SOPRA, ALMENO PER FISSARE LE OPERE, LE EDIZIONI IN ESSO ELENCATI. PIù VOLTE MI ERA STATA PROSPETTATA LA POSSIBILITà DI OTTENERE TALE RIPRODUZIONE, MA NULLA è STATO FATTO. OVVIAMENTE IL GIUDIZIO DI ECCELLENZA CHE HO ESPRESSO SOPRA è PER LA BIBLIOTECA NON PER I RESPONSABILI DEL SUO ATTUALE STATO DI DEGRADO VINCENZO PLACELLA I AM A STUDENT OF VICO, ORDINARY PROFESSOR OF ITALIAN LITERATURE ALREADY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NAPLES "L'ORIENTALE". La ragione è che "la biblioteca può essere aperta per pochi studenti su richiesta al procuratore". Il fatto può creare non pochi disagi ai visitatori che ingannati dalle informazioni di Google (errate che la direzione della biblioteca non modifica) possono recarsi al complesso e trovarlo chiuso . La biblioteca più antica di Napoli chiusa e pure la beffa! al telefono viene detto che è chiusa ma è giusto che su Google sia riportata " aperta" al pubblico dal lunedì al venerdì! Il direttore che ha sottratto i volumi li ha dati a Marcello dell'Utri, ora in galera. I Barbari non avrebbero commesso un tale scempio questo monumento nazionale fu affidato a Marino Massimo De Caro dal ministro dei beni culturali Galan il 15 aprile 2011.
