Nei suoi spazi espositivi si snoda un percorso che mostra momenti significativi dell’arte dal XVI al XIX secolo con opere di Pietro Negroni, Marco Cardisco, Francesco Cozza . Di grande interesse è il nucleo costituito dalle opere di Mattia Preti e Luca Giordano. C'è poi la sezione di opere grafiche di Umberto Boccioni documenta l’attività la raccolta del museo include sculture di Umberto Boccioni, Giorgio de Chirico, Emilio Greco, Antonietta Raphaël, Pietro Consagra, Mimmo Rotella. Il museo inoltre espone, la collezione Banca Carime, oggi proprietà di UbiBanca, come il “Cristo al Calvario e il Cireneo”, attribuita a Giovanni Bellini. The Gallery is located in Palazzo Arnone, which is a building built in the sixteenth century in the historic center of the city. In its exhibition spaces winds a path that shows significant moments of art from the 16th to the 19th century with works by Pietro Negroni, Marco Cardisco, Francesco Cozza. Da qui si può scoprire un percorso museale a livello regionale tramite una presentazione multimediale ben realizzata... S	Semper Fidelis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In quello che fu palazzo Arnone, sede storica del penitenziario cittadino, conosciuto dai cosentini come il vecchio carcere situato nel centro storico e risalente al cinquecento, ha sede oggi la Galleria Nazionale di Cosenza, un vero e proprio vanto per la nostra città, di rilevanza culturale nazionale. Nei suoi enormi spazi espositivi, trova collocazione una pinacoteca con dipinti e opere in grado di documentare i momenti significativi dell'arte italiana. Mattia Preti, De Chirico, Boccioni sono solo alcuni tra i capolavori presenti che meritano di essere ammirati in tutto il loro immenso fascino. È un luogo accessibile in sedia a rotelle, fuori c'è un ampio parcheggio, perciò per quanto mi riguarda, consiglio assolutamente di visitarla. In what was once Palazzo Arnone, the historic seat of the city penitentiary, known by the people of Cosenza as the old prison located in the historic center and dating back to the sixteenth century, today there is the National Gallery of Cosenza, a real pride for our city, of relevance national cultural. In its huge exhibition spaces, there is a picture gallery with paintings and works capable of documenting the significant moments of Italian art. Mattia Preti, De Chirico, Boccioni are just some of the masterpieces present that deserve to be admired in all their immense charm. It is a wheelchair accessible place, there is a large parking lot outside, so as far as I'm concerned, I absolutely recommend visiting it.

Turisti (o semplicemente cittadini che durante la settimana lavorano) che si trovano a Cosenza nel fine settimana trovano spesso tutto chiuso. E' un vero peccato. Gorgeous! The problem is on the weekend it is closed and if someone wants to visit it they cannot. Tourists (or simply citizens who work during the week) who are in Cosenza at the weekend often find everything closed. It is a pity.
