Ospita una ricca e ben curata collezione archeologica, una sezione dedicata al risorgimento, spazi per mostre temporanee, un buon bookshop con testi sulla Calabria e su Cosenza. One of the two best museums in Cosenza, housed in the former cloister of the church of Sant'Agostino. It houses a rich and well-kept archaeological collection, a section dedicated to the Risorgimento, spaces for temporary exhibitions, a good bookshop with texts on Calabria and Cosenza.

Dovete cercare una scalinata dietro l'edificio con la pubblicità del museo, all'apice della scalinata troverete una piccola porta. Consiglio di vedere il museo, ben fatto, personale cordiale e spiegazioni multimediali ben congeniate. The entrance is not well indicated. You have to look for a staircase behind the building with the advertising of the museum, at the top of the staircase you will find a small door. I recommend to see the museum, well done, friendly staff and well thought out multimedia explanations.

On that occasion the enotria necropolis of Torre del Mordillo (Spezzano Albanese), the sacred Greek area of Cozzo Michelicchio and the Thurine necropolis of the Caccia di Favella district (Corigliano Calabro) were found. Non mi esprimo sull'allestimento del Museo in quanto, a causa loro, ho preferito cambiare programma ed evitare la visita. In seguito alla risposta alla mia recensione preciso che il giudizio negativo non deriva, chiaramente, dal divieto d'accesso ai cani (divieto che trattandosi di un museo mi è parso più che comprensibile). Non ho chiesto e tantomeno preteso che vi potessero accedere, ma il fatto che il personale abbia accolto con palese fastidio e insofferenza la scelta (obbligata) di farli sostare al di fuori della struttura - seppur legati e seduti educatamente, senza recare intralcio o disturbo alcuno - mi è parso quantomeno surreale. Sarebbe auspicabile che la sollecitudine e la cortesia dimostrate nelle risposte online fossero estese anche al personale con cui i clienti si trovano ad avere a che fare durante la visita al vostro Museo. If it were possible, I would have rated the rudeness and dislike of the entire staff even less than a star ... I do not express myself on the layout of the Museum as, because of them, I preferred to change the program and avoid the visit. Following the answer to my review, I specify that the negative opinion clearly does not derive from the prohibition of access to dogs (a prohibition which, being a museum, seemed more than understandable to me). I did not ask, let alone pretend that they could access it, but the fact that the staff welcomed with obvious annoyance and impatience the (obligatory) choice to have them stop outside the structure - albeit tied up and seated politely, without causing any hindrance or disturbance - it seemed at least surreal to me. It would be desirable that the concern and courtesy shown in the online responses were also extended to the staff with whom customers have to deal with during their visit to your museum.
