★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Molto interessanti le numerose ceramiche, le anfore e i resti di un'antica nave oneraria romana del I sec. a.C. recuperata negli anni '50 presso Albenga. Meriterebbero una sistemazione ed una pubblicizzazione migliori.
 Very interesting are the numerous ceramics, the amphorae and the remains of an ancient Roman trade vessel of the first century. B.C. recovered in the 50s at Albenga. They deserve a better accommodation and advertising.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il museo navale romano di Albenga è museo piccolo, in pratica dedicato a una singola nave affondata nei pressi dell'Isola Gallinara, ma è ben curato e la visita guidata è piacevole. Una visita di un'ora, non di più, ma merita! Da vedere.
The Roman naval museum of Albenga is a small museum, practically dedicated to a single sunken ship near the Gallinara Island, but it is well cared for and the guided tour is pleasant. An hour-long visit, no more, but it deserves! To be seen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il museo è CHIUSO da mesi e lo sarà ancora per molti mesi. Incommentabile la lentezza dei lavori che ostacola il diritto di vedere un museo così importante. Inoltre su Internet è indicato che è aperto, e i musei annessi (diocesano e civico) altrettanto interessanti sono chiusi il sabato e la domenica, proprio i giorni in cui le attività culturali devono essere aperte ai lavoratori! Un viaggio a vuoto, anche se il centro storico di Albenga ripaga le menti storiche e artistiche.
The museum has been CLOSED for months and will remain closed for many months. The slowness of the work that hinders the right to see such an important museum is unmistakable. Furthermore, on the Internet it is indicated that it is open, and the adjacent museums (diocesan and civic) equally interesting are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, precisely the days when cultural activities must be open to workers! An empty journey, even if the historic center of Albenga repays the historical and artistic minds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bisogna dirlo, io giro e viaggio tanto per vedere la storia del mio paese( e io sono una di quelle persone che va apposta per far conoscere siti che sono stati importantissimi e cerco nel mio piccolo di collegarli) e più mi rendo conto che la Liguria è stato una zona fondamentale per la storia nel periodo del impero romano ma poco conosciuto.
Così chiedendo del museo navale ho scoperto che sono custodite decine di anfore viarie trovate nel antico delta del centa che si trova vicino al isola della gallinara. Incredibile!!!
Comunque non le ho potute vedere di persona perché il museo è chiuso ad oltranza per lavori di restauro.

We have to say it, I go around and travel so much to see the history of my country (and I am one of those people that goes on purpose to make known sites that were very important and I try in my small way to connect them) and I realize that Liguria it was a fundamental area for history in the period of the Roman Empire but little known.
So, asking about the naval museum, I discovered that dozens of amphorae are kept in the ancient delta of the centa which is located near the island of the gallinara. Incredible !!!
However I could not see them in person because the museum is closed to the bitter end for restoration work.
