★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Museo delle arti e tradizioni popolari “Serafino Amabile Guastella” è stato realizzato dall’Associazione Culturale “Serafino Amabile Guastella” ed aperto al pubblico nel 1978.
Il museo ricostruisce l’ambiente artigiano e contadino della Contea di Modica, con attenta cura dei particolari, salvaguardando un prezioso patrimonio di attrezzi originali, arredi e suppellettili che vengono proposti a simbolo stesso della modicanità. Suggestiva la ricostruzione di un tipico cortile modicano.
Attualmente è, purtroppo, chiuso al pubblico da anni per interventi di messa in sicurezza dell’edificio che lo ospita.
The "Serafino Amabile Guastella" Museum of popular arts and traditions was created by the "Serafino Amabile Guastella" Cultural Association and opened to the public in 1978.
The museum reconstructs the artisan and peasant environment of the County of Modica, with careful attention to detail, safeguarding a precious patrimony of original tools, furnishings and furnishings that are proposed as symbols of the very style. The reconstruction of a typical Modica courtyard is suggestive.
Currently it is unfortunately closed to the public for years for interventions to make the building that houses it safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il museo ad oggi è finalmente riaperto, si trova alle spalle della Basilica Madonna delle Grazie, nel Palazzo dei Mercedari. E' molto bello ed è gratuito, mostra tutto ciò che era la vita di una volta a Modica! Da vedere assolutamente! Attualmente (estate 2021) si può visitare insieme ad esso anche la Mostra Entomologica "Insecta" con centinaia di insetti da tutto il mondo.
The museum has finally reopened today, it is located behind the Basilica Madonna delle Grazie, in the Palazzo dei Mercedari. It is very nice and it is free, it shows everything that was once life in Modica! A must see! Currently (summer 2021) it is also possible to visit the Entomological Exhibition "Insecta" with hundreds of insects from all over the world.
