A fine museum with wonderful keepsakes inside. It does not take a long time to complete your museum trip, but there are some really unique items on display to keep you engaged. Not exactly a museum dedicated solely to Galileo, but dedicated to the scientific breakthroughs in tools and theory that he inspired.

If your a fan of science, mechanics or antiques then this is the place for you. So many contraptions. No idea what half the stuff even does, but it all looks amazing. They even have Galileo’s actual fingers on display. This museum is totally worth the €10 it cost to go in.

A very interesting museum and is very different to the other museums in Florence. Children would find it more interesting than others in Florence. My favourite bits where the maps and globe.

Amazingly beautiful and interesting place. I recommend visiting this museum if you want to see how old telescopes, barometers, and various electrical machines were designed. Super interesting that Galileo’s fingers are also displayed!!

There is a lot of history to learn in this museum about different invention of the times of Galileo. However it is not really worth the ten euros ticket price. It was great experience learning about different devices and processes in different areas, however we expected the museum to be more interactive. The most intriguing part of this museum was seeing Galileo’s body parts (fingers and tooth). Quite creepy yet intriguing

Must see if you feel like connected to science anyhow. I have been much amazed by the collection on the different sciences (astronomy, pharmacy, biology, physics, chemistry). Incredible to see how Galileo developed telescopes and started measuring the bodies in the sky. Imagine you pay 10/12 € for entrances to churches/ baptisteries which have only 1 interior. With that collection, 10€ for entrance is very good value for many. If you have children at school age, would be a nice way to attract them to science

Very well curated museum with some amazing exhibits from the history of science. There is the telescope lens which Galileo used to discover the moons of Jupiter, telescopes he made and many many other apparatuses of significance. You can easily spend 3-4 hours exploring the place. Be sure to download the audio guide app as it includes texts and videos explaining the history and mechanisms behind the devices etc. Totally recommended for anyone who loves science and understands the significance of the exhibits. There is also of course the famous fingers and tooth of Galileo.
