★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small museum on the outskirts of Livorno. Helpful staff, nice outdoor area, for a small display, a lot of good exhibits. Their acquarium exhibits were not live - the only disappointment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The museum in itself is nothing extraordinary, but it is quite interesting nonetheless. I really like the park around it, which also has a small amphitheatre, a weather tower and a modern annex used for temporary exhibitions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice museum though the botanical garden looks like it hasn't been maintained for months. The staff was friendly though, and the parts within the building were maintained well. I did enjoy visiting so I would surely come again if I knew what I know now. It was a pity that most of the descriptions only were in Italian but that didn't bother me as much as the condition of the botanical garden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice little museum that covers geology, dinosaurs, invertebrates, human settlement, large mammals (saber tooth tigers, mammoths, etc.), cetaceans, and minerals among other things. Admission for an adult is 10 Euros.
