La guida multimediale, fornita gratuitamente, sebbene ti dia abbastanza informazioni, non è sufficiente a capire realmente il sito delle fonderie. Gli accompagnatore, anziché rimanere fermi al cancello del sito delle fonderie, potrebbero fare una passeggiata con i visitatori e fare da guida... soprattutto quando questi sono in pochi... personale cortese ma un pochino inesperto. Chi si trova nei paraggi consiglio vivamente di dare un occhiata al museo. Site of great historical interest, especially for us Calabrians. The guide, instead of staying at the gate of the foundry site, could take a walk with the visitors and act as a guide ... especially when there are few of them ... polite staff but a little inexperienced. Chi lo sa, per esempio, che l'industria siderurgica nell'Italia preunitaria è nata proprio qui in questo angolo di Calabria? C	Cosimo cbr adventure on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tutti dovrebbero conoscere la vera storia , sapete che a mongiana un piccolissimo paese nel pieno delle serre c'era una fabbrica che dava lavoro a circa 2500 persone questo però prima del 1861,perché purtroppo dopo l'unità d'italia fu smantellata. L	Lukin Angian on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa struttura che un tempo era una fabbrica di armi del periodo Borbonico (dove fu progettato il fucile modello Mongiana), oggi dopo un accurato restauro è diventato il Museo delle Reali Ferriere Borboniche. Si tratta di un Museo di archeologia industriale, inaugurato nel 2013, al suo interno vi è la possibilità (anche grazie a supporti multimediali) di conoscere la storia dell'industria locale e della Calabria, passando dalla lavorazione del ferro a quella dei prodotti regionali calabresi. Merita sicuramente una visita. This structure, which was once a Bourbon armory (where the Mongiana model rifle was designed), has now become the Museum of the Royal Bourbon Ironworks after careful restoration. It is a museum of industrial archeology, inaugurated in 2013, and inside it there is the possibility (also thanks to multimedia supports) to learn about the history of the local industry and of Calabria, passing from iron processing to that of Calabrian regional products . Definitely worth a visit.

Tuttavia si è riusciti a sopperire alla mancanza di reperti con cartellonistiche che ricoprono letteralmente le pareti e con sale multimediali e uno schermo interattivo alla fine del percorso. Ma io se non ho un'audio guida finisco per tirare dritto. Compreso nel costo del biglietto (intero 6 euro) è la visita alla fonderia. Si trova a 300 metri più a valle (decisamente non lontano ma considerando che il ritorno è in salita perché non utilizzare l'auto?). Lì la visita guidata con la possibilità di interagire e fare domande rende il breve percorso più interessante. The museum itself is very small and the artifacts, while interesting, are a bit sparse. In questa occasione siamo venuti a conoscenza, pur essendo calabresi una realtà sconosciuta e importante della nostra storia. Molto curato il museo, e i resti della fonderia, biglietti di costi irrisori,ne vale la pena Museum discovered by accident, as we were staying nearby.
