A real treasure trove of works of art, ancient frescoes by Masolino da Panicale and his school (Vecchietta and Schiavo) in the apse of the collegiate church and in the baptistery. The guide who accompanies visitors is very good

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa molto bella dove non si celebra più la messa, un tempo ospitava i canonici. Vicino alla chiesa si trova il museo che ospita vari oggetti utilizzati per le messe. Accanto al museo c'è il battistero che è un'opera d'arte, con la vita di Giovanni Battista.
Very beautiful church where mass is no longer celebrated, it once housed the canons. Near the church is the museum which houses various objects used for masses. Next to the museum is the baptistery which is a work of art, with the life of John the Baptist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La collegiata è un magnifico esemplare di gotico lombardo che sorge sui resti dell'antico castrum di Castiglione Olona. Domina dal colle più alto il borgo che fu nominato dal d'Annunzio "Isola di Toscana in Lombardia" grazie ai caratteristici affreschi dei pittori toscani Masolino da Panicale, Paolo Schiavo e Lorenzo di Pietro, detto il Vecchietta, che adornano gli interni della chiesa.
Molto disponibili e gentili le guide volontarie presenti in loco, che rendono piacevole ed interessante la visita guidata.
The collegiate church is a magnificent example of Lombard Gothic which stands on the remains of the ancient castrum of Castiglione Olona. From the highest hill it dominates the village which was named "Island of Tuscany in Lombardy" by d'Annunzio thanks to the characteristic frescoes of the Tuscan painters Masolino da Panicale, Paolo Schiavo and Lorenzo di Pietro, known as il Vecchietta, which adorn the interior of the church.
The volunteer guides present on site are very helpful and kind, making the guided tour pleasant and interesting.
