B	Biker Alone on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Museo delle Icone Bizantine. Situato a Frascineto dove si professa il culto Catto - Bizantino. Suddiviso su tre piani in cui è possibile ammirare al primo piano le icone di stampo Mariano. Secondo piano le icone di tutti i Santi, al terzo un pò di oggettistica. Quasi tutti gli oggetti provengono dalla ex Germania dell'est quindi le opere sono databili tra XVIII secolo al XX. Solo pochi pezzi risalgono al rinascimento. Byzantine Icon Museum. Located in Frascineto where the Catto - Byzantine cult is professed. Divided over three floors where it is possible to admire Mariano icons on the first floor. On the second floor the icons of all the saints, on the third some objects. Almost all the objects come from the former East Germany so the works can be dated between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries. Only a few pieces date back to the Renaissance.

Costruita dagli albanesi fuggiti dalle persecuzioni dei mussulmani. I didn't really have time to visit the museum open on Thursday Friday Saturday. But the adjacent Greek Orthodox church is gorgeous. Built by the Albanians who fled the persecutions of the Muslims.

R	Romy romi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una vera e propria chicca il museo delle icone e tradizioni liturgiche bizantine...consigliatissimo perché unico in Italia, ricco di opere liturgiche di diversi secoli e di materiale legato alla tradizione religiosa... un grazie particolare al comune che ci ha consentito gentilmente di poterlo visitare, perché (purtroppo)! non è sempre aperto, e ancor più fortunati ad essere affidati alla guida di Angelo, che è il cuore e l'anima di questo posto,colui che con passione ha creato gli ambienti e le bellissime sale del museo e che con tanta gentilezza ci ha guidato e spiegato in maniera minuziosa ogni singolo oggetto,dalla creazione artistica all'uso. da vedere anche i dintorni di Frascineto e in particolare Civita,e le montagne vicine,piene di bellezze e siti naturalistici spettacolari! A real gem is the museum of icons and Byzantine liturgical traditions ... highly recommended because it is unique in Italy, rich in liturgical works from different centuries and material linked to religious tradition ... a special thanks to the municipality that kindly allowed us to visit it, because (unfortunately)! is not always open, and even more fortunate to be entrusted to the guidance of Angelo, who is the heart and soul of this place, the one who with passion created the rooms and the beautiful rooms of the museum and who with so much kindness guided and explained in detail every single object, from artistic creation to use. Also worth seeing are the surroundings of Frascineto and in particular Civita, and the nearby mountains, full of beauties and spectacular natural sites!

Non è il solito museo, è originale e colpisce il visitatore. Vi sono esposte molte icone, quadri e altri oggetti e paramenti sacri della tradizione bizantina. Per la numerosità e preziosità dei reperti, si colloca tra i più importanti in Italia. The Museum of Icons of Frascineto, for those visiting the beautiful village of Arbreshe, is a gem not to be missed. It is not the usual museum, it is original and impresses the visitor. There are exhibited many icons, pictures and other sacred objects and vestments of the Byzantine tradition. For the number and preciousness of the finds, it ranks among the most important in Italy.

Ogni icona ha la sua storia e il suo racconto che ci ha ben spiegato la nostra guida molto gentile e appassionata ma soprattutto molto ben preparata. Consiglio la visita non solo agli appassionati di arte religiosa ma anche a chi ama l'arte in generale. Grazie ancora alla nostra guida. I went to the museum in August with my daughter and a friend of hers, we were happily surprised by the large number of icons, some of which are very old. Each icon has its own story and its own story that our very kind and passionate but above all very well prepared guide explained us well.
