★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most interesting aspect of the castle are the numerous narrow steps and pathways to reach it. The original castle was destroyed by the neighbours from Trieste in 1353. The republic of Venice later rebuilt it but it was soon abandoned again. Now in private hands?
