Pochi resti visibili.
Few visible remains. The explanations are very clear, even if unfortunately the remaining cultural heritage is very scarce.

Affascinante.
Remains of a Lombard church from the 8th century. Charming.

On the way to the northern tip of the peninsula of Sirmione you come to the monastery ruins of San Salvatore. It was built in 762-765 by Queen Ansa (the wife of the Lombard King Desiderius). After that it changed hands several times. Today only remainders are present (see map).

Small archaeological site a stone's throw from the center of Sirmione. There is very little left to see from the ancient 8th century monastery, but it is worth going to if you are in the area.

Not much left of the Abbey but well maintained & in a quiet area behind the main street.
