★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Motta Residence in Motta is located not far from Catania and very close to the US Navy base. It is not a high-class hotel, but for the price and convenient location it is more than adequate. The rooms are huge with a separate living room and kitchenette. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is actually typical of hotels of this size in Italy, but the only thing I miss is a restaurant in the hotel and a larger selection of breakfast offerings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience was great at Motta Residence Hotel. From water pressure, hot water, customer service, language & communication, housekeeping, etc. Just like being at home in the US. Also, to my surprise, I was able to rent a standard automatic vehicle right from the facility. The location is accessible to shopping in nearby towns an on base. In case you're lost, there are plenty of directional signs posted within and outside city limits to get you back home. Relationship wise, whatever is promised, their word is their bond. I look forward to staying here again when I return.
