Inaugurato il 14 settembre 1924 con la statua in bronzo di un fante con il braccio destro alzato e bandiera. Opera dello scultore Alessandro Laforet. La statua è stata fusa nel 1941 per esigenze di guerra. Nel dopoguerra rifatta a forma di colonna. Cerro con frazione Ceresolo era comune autonomo fino al 1928, poi fuso con Laveno e con Mombello ( circa 500 abitanti nel 1911).
The fallen of Cerro during the world war. In the square of Cerro in front of Palazzo Perabò. Opened September 14, 1924 with the bronze statue of a foot soldier with a raised right arm and flag. Work of the sculptor Alessandro Laforet. The statue was cast in 1941 for war reasons. After the war it was rebuilt in the form of a column. Cerro with Ceresolo hamlet was an autonomous municipality until 1928, then merged with Laveno and Mombello (about 500 inhabitants in 1911).
