★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Opera di Paolo Emilio Demi, in origine era collocato in piazza della Repubblica, ma a seguito di alcuni tumulti cittadini, nel 1849 fu rimosso e abbandonato per circa un secolo.
Negli anni successivi alla seconda guerra mondiale fu trasportato in piazza XX Settembre.
Resta deturpato e presenta molte scritte andrebbe restaurato.
01/12/2018 E' il giorno del grande restauro concluso, il "Canapone" e' stato restituito alla città in tutto il suo splendore
 Work of Paolo Emilio Demi, it was originally located in Piazza della Repubblica, but following some city riots, in 1849 it was removed and abandoned for about a century.
In the years following the Second World War it was transported to Piazza XX Settembre.
It remains disfigured and has many writings. It should be restored.
