Grote stenen en zwijnen, heel veel zwijnen. We konden het slaapverblijf helaas niet vinden. Er is doordeweeks geen pizza onderaan de berg verkrijgbaar Big climb, but well worth the effort. The view was more an insight into the inside of the earth. Very impressive. Large rocks and pigs, lots of pigs. Unfortunately we could not find the sleeping quarters. There is no pizza available at the bottom of the mountain during the week

Al pozzo si apre un bel panorama sul lago di Vico. 30/40 minuti di cammino con segnalazioni un po' consumate dal tempo. Beautiful walk that begins in the locality of Canale in the municipality of Caprarola in a very beautiful beech forest. Esperienza molto bella per chi ama la natura! 45min walk in a wonderful centuries-old beech forest to get to this suggestive cave. Very nice experience for nature lovers!

In cima, scendendo un poco sull'altro versante c'è il pozzo del diavolo, uno grotta naturale da dove si dice che uscisse la lava del vulcano. Ai piedi invece un bellissimo fontanile e una grande area pic nic con tavoli e bracieri. A fabulous hiking trail in every season, with breathtaking views, very steep in some places. At the top, going down a little on the other side, there is the devil's well, a natural cave from where it is said that the lava of the volcano came out. At the foot instead, a beautiful fountain and a large picnic area with tables and braziers.
G	Gianni Pantano on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo una passeggiata molto tranquilla in meraviglioso bosco di faggi. l'ambiente è davvero magico e partendo da località Canale in circa 40 minuti di una tranquilla passeggiata si raggiunge questa grotta. i paesani in realtà la chiamavano La buca, certo non ammaliante come nome... meglio Pozzo del diavolo. Very beautifull a very quiet walk in a wonderful beech forest. the environment is truly magical and starting from Canale in about 40 minutes of a quiet walk you reach this cave. the villagers actually called it La buca, certainly not bewitching as a name ... better Pozzo del diavolo.
S	Stefano Cozzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È una breve facile escursione (meno di 300 m di dislivello complessivo) su un sentiero ben segnalato quella che, partendo dal parcheggio de La Faggeta e passando vicino alla vetta del Monte Venere (840 m), porta a questa grotta vulcanica, la più grande del Lazio. Infatti il cono del Monte Venere è l'ultima manifestazione, risalente a circa 95.000 anni fa, del complesso vulcanico Cimino-Vichiano. Si attraversa una stupenda faggeta che, vista la quota così bassa, è certamente un relitto dell'ultima glaciazione, terminata a partire da 15.000 anni fa. Nelle giornate con poca gente è facile incontrare famigliole di cinghiali. Arrivati alla grotta (fare attenzione) tra gli alberi si scorge il sottostante Lago di Vico. It is a short easy hike (less than 300 m of total height difference) on a well-marked path that, starting from the La Faggeta car park and passing near the summit of Mount Venere (840 m), leads to this volcanic cave, the largest Lazio. In fact, the cone of Mount Venus is the latest manifestation, dating back some 95,000 years ago, the volcanic Cimino-Vichiano. It crosses a beautiful beech forest that due to the so low altitude, is certainly a relic of the last ice age, which ended from 15,000 years ago. On days with few people it is easy to meet small families of wild boars. Arriving at the cave (be careful) through the trees you can see the underlying Lake Vico.
