★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Monte Sassosano, più comunemente conosciuto come Sassetano, è un rilievo della catena del Monte Terminio e raggiunge i 1439 m. s.l.m.
Ci si arriva percorrendo un antico tratturo regio. Sono ancora visibili in alcuni punti i resti dei gradoni e delle pietre del lastricato di origine mediovale che attraversa prima vasti castagneti e più in alto delle faggete.
È davvero un bellissimo percorso agevole e ombreggiato, in leggera salita tranne che per il tratto finale per raggiungere la vetta.
Monte Sassosano, more commonly known as Sassetano, is a relief of the Monte Terminio chain and reaches 1439 m. s.l.m.
It can be reached by following an ancient tratturo regio. In some places the remains of the steps and of the paving stones of medieval origin are still visible, crossing first large chestnut trees and higher up beech woods.
It is really a beautiful, easy and shady route, slightly uphill except for the final stretch to reach the summit.
