La storia ci dice che gia' nel lontano 1300 il complesso monastico era presente in citta'. Sotto la regola agostiniana numerose monache hanno vissuto nella struttura che tuttora sorge nella nostra citta' . Ogni 13 dicembre festa di Santa Lucia i folignati e non solo, fanno visita e partecipano alle celebrazioni religiose che sono molto sentite e seguite. Da visitare sicuramente.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa stupenda ed antichissima. Entri e senti subito pace e serenità, bisogno di pregare davanti alla statua di Santa Lucia, molto amata e venerata dai folignati. Il 13 dicembre, giorno della Santa accorrono in Chiesa , ad assistere alla messa, durante la quale si può ascoltare il coro delle Clarisse, che vivono nell'attiguo monastero. Durante tutto Il giorno, appena fuori dalla Chiesa ti aspettano le chiassose bancarelle con le gustosissime e dolci " cialde di s.lucia"
