If you are considering working with Milo Tours, take my advice and book them immediately. Our time in Italy will be remembered for a lot of things. However, none of it will surpass the hospitality, kindness, enthusiasm and professionalism of the people from Milo Tours. We feel like Mario, Pinar and Nicola are just our extended family from Italy and they will go above and beyond to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. First, Mario (the owner) actually cares about who you are as a person. He doesn't treat you as just another client to generate income from like other tour guides do. The first thing Mario wanted to do was get to know me and my wife, why we were traveling to Italy, what are likes/dislikes were etc. He complimented me on the hotels and locations (Rome, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Ischia) we chose. We talked a lot about things that had nothing to do with the trip and he made me feel at such ease. Second, Mario is super responsive. During the weeks leading up to the trip as we mapped out everything, I had many questions/requests. Mario was super quick to respond, usually within minutes. As there were many moving pieces due to COVID, having him respond right away was so helpful. Third, Milo is not overbearing. He will make suggestions based on what you want or what he thinks you would most enjoy. If you happen to choose the pricier or more logistically difficult option he will be sure to lay it out clearly. He will always give his own advice, will never push for anything, and offer different alternatives so you can choose what trade-offs you want to make. This was very important as it allowed us to make the most informed decisions with the least amount of regret. During our actual trip, Nicola was our driver the entire time. He was super polite, very patient and such a smooth driver. It felt like riding a train. Anytime we wanted to make a change, Mario was quick to try and figure out if what we wanted was possible even if it meant more time for him to figure things out on the fly. Even in the cities where we weren't with Milo, they were nice enough to suggest their favorite restaurants/cafes/bars and things to do. Where we did have them, the time was magical. They first arranged tours in Rome with Salvatore to see the Vatican and Colosseum. Salvatore was like a history teacher going through all the important things to keep in mind when visiting the sites. He was also always able to get us through the lines quickly. The day they picked us up in Tuscany to take us to Pompeii and then Amalfi was extremely efficient. Mario did the Pompeii tour personally and it was such a treat given his professional expertise of the area. My wife got light-headed from lack of food and heat and Mario ran to get her pizza. That is just the person he is, always going out of his way to make things easy and in this case, keep us healthy and safe. Our day exploring Amalfi was so memorable due to a last minute change to see Sorrento, a town we loved. We then spent lunch at a tiny winery where the family cooked us an Italian home cooked meal. This experience is not one you can just find online. It was only possible through Mario's vast network of people who trust and know him. His wife, Pinar, took us on a private boat trip to Capri. She was so lovely. She took us to a great local family owned restaurant, took us to some of the best gelato and explained what makes Capri so special. She was so considerate making sure my wife was okay with everything. Lastly, Nicola drove us back from Naples to Rome but not before taking us to their favorite pizza joint. Instead of taking us to all the known places that tourists now visit, they took us to where the Neapolitans go. Our time in Pompeii/Naples was only possible because of Milo. They basically extended our vacation which is priceless. Mario worked tirelessly to reduce any frictions and pain points. I truly can't imagine coming back to Italy without having them help us again. They are just so thoughtful and hard working. We look forward to seeing them again in the future!

We have nothing but absolutely perfect things to say about Mario and Pinar. If you are going to Italy and you do not book a trip with them, you are automatically doing yourself a disservice. From the planning, to budgeting, to logistics, to being flexible, to choosing beautiful hotels, to private transportation and to all around perfection. Our honeymoon was a dream come true. My husband and I use Milo Tours for our honeymoon experience and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Mario was extremely flexible and responsive during planning- not only this past year, but during the COVID year as well. He refunded all our money and looked forward to planning with us again when travel restrictions lifted. He met with me whenever convenient to discuss the trip, even if it meant talking to me at 3AM his time. Everything was taken care of for us- we did not have to worry about anything! We had the most amazing 8 day trip to the Amalfi Coast to celebrate my husband's birthday. Milo Tours did an outstanding 5 star job creating a perfect holiday including a visit to a local farm for a homemade lunch, trip to an olive oil processing experience, day trip to Capri on a private boat, delicious dinners and wonderful hotels. Our hotel concierge recommended Mario, for a tour of Pompeii. Pompeii was truly amazing, and Mario brought it to life for us. He was charming and knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful tour of the site. He was very informed especially regarding socioeconomic dynamics and details of the geological changes.
