Probably could do with an extra waiter at peak times, but if you are not in a rush it’s ok to wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to Merlo Rosso on my first evening in Calabria. It was a wonderful introduction to the area. Great suggestions from a very friendly waiter, marvelous mussels as a first course, and perhaps the best piece of tuna I've had anywhere. All in a small, intimate environment that felt comfortable. I would definitely go there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome restaurant in the old town in Lamezia Terme. Very good value for money considering the menu. I've had the fish salad and the Tuna Steak with Rucula ( tagliata) service and food was very good. I give them 4 star Coz I've asked for a Rare tuna and they bought me something that was more medium well. But still the quality was really good for 15€ juicy and tender. Free digestivo at the end of the meal and not overpriced for the usual 'cover' price which they charge you in Italy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the restaurant with my friends. The food was not bad but the service was terrible!!!! The waiter was the most impatient, most unfriendly and most impolite waiter I have ever met. Also the receipt didn't match the prices of the food we ordered. We paid over 10€ more (and didn't get an explanation for the extra money we paid)! When I asked for an explanation/ the correct receipt the waiter got more unfriendly and started kind of screaming at me in Italian. I will never go back there!!!! Worst service I have ever had in my life!
