★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ci sono stata oggi di Domenica mattina per curiosità più che altro perché avevo già prenotato il ristorante,all’interno mi sono state offerte delle ostriche che a malincuore ho dovuto rifiutare .C’erano aperte solo alcune delle trenta postazioni effettivamente dislocate ma comprensibilmente dato che anche i pescatori devono necessariamente riposare …Inusuali ma caratteristici i gabbiani che svolazzavano in cerca di cibo .
 I was there today on Sunday morning out of curiosity mostly because I had already booked the restaurant, inside I was offered some oysters which I reluctantly had to refuse. There were only some of the thirty stations actually located open but understandably given that even the fishermen must necessarily rest ... Unusual but characteristic are the seagulls that fluttered in search of food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo stati a prendere il pesce durante una breve vacanza a Sottomarina. Posto suggestivo, nella vicina Chioggia. Tanta varietà, pesce freschissimo, prezzi modici. Noi ci siamo fatti una scorpacciata di cozze e vongole, periodo ideale per la raccolta.
We went to catch fish during a short vacation in Sottomarina. Suggestive place, in nearby Chioggia. Lots of variety, very fresh fish, moderate prices. We had a feast of mussels and clams, an ideal time for harvesting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tappa d'obbligo quando veniamo a Chioggia, un mercato del pesce con prodotti sempre freschissimi e prezzi abbordabili. Si trova di tutto dal pescato locale a quello di allevamento oltre che alle tipicità locali come le uova di seppia.
A must when we come to Chioggia, a fish market with always fresh products and affordable prices. You can find everything from local fish to farmed fish as well as local specialties such as cuttlefish eggs.
