I had to take an overnight bus from Matera to Rome, first he found me in the centre before our meeting time, he advised me that it was a little early for the bus and that I should stay in the city centre as it is safer. He came back later, got me and took me to the bus stop, and stayed with me until the bus came, basically David was with me from 11.30pm until 12.15am! (I am a solo female traveller). He also offers services to nearby towns and even as far as Rome. I would not hesitate to call David again in the future. Grazie David per tutto!!

I recommend him unconditionally for anyone needing a taxi or transfer service in Matera. We would not have been able to visit the Crypt of Original Sin without his assistance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel we were staying at in Matera arranged for David from Matera Taxi to pick us up from Bari Airport. He is such a nice guy, was on time and speaks excellent English. During the journey, he gave us a little history about Matera and surrounding areas and was very courteous and professional. We highly recommend him for your transfer and/or any other trips during your stay. Thank you David ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We called Matera Taxi very last minute, because the bus we expected to take us to Matera never came - we were effectively stranded in a small town about 30-min drive from Matera and this taxi service came to our rescue! We called fully expecting no one to answer or for exorbitant prices and long wait times - not only did someone answer but he immediately sent us a whatsapp message to get our location and appeared exactly by the time he told us he would. Total charge was 50€ for a super last minute trip, private car and intercity distance. Our driver spoke great English and even gave us tips on places to eat and see in Matera! Overall truly impressive service and definitely saved our day
