In una salita poco impegnativa di circa un chilometro, con un dislivello di circa 80metri si incontrano i maggiori monumenti della cittadina: il castello, l'antica Pieve di Santa Giustina detta Duomo Vecchio tra i Monselicensi, Villa Duodo con le 7 Chiesette e infine la salita al Mastio Federiciano. La salita non è sempre aperta, si deve pagare un biglietto per l'accesso, quindi se proprio volete visitarlo, consultate il sito della città. Alla sommità si trova il mastio Federiciano da cui si gode un panorama mozzafiato sulla pianura sottostante. When you arrive in Monselice you cannot fail to climb the Rocca hill. Se il cancello è chiuso andrebbero collocati cartelli per un accesso diverso al sito. With the gate closed, access is certainly difficult, I tried from several points but then I gave up. Molto spesso l'accesso è chiuso o visitabile solo con prenotazione. Si sale con una gradinata e breve salita dolce e piacevole. Risale al 1239 per volontà dell’Imperatore Federico II dal suo rappresentante Ezzelino da Romano . Ne risultò un castello inespugnabile: la base tronco piramidale sostiene la parte abitata, alta circa 20 metri, ed in origine anche una parte sommitale in legno, non più presente. La struttura è ancora oggi inserita in una serie di fortificazioni, le cui parti più antiche risalgono al VI secolo e che si sviluppavano su ben 5 cerchie murarie. All'interno c'è anche un piccolo museo...
