★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I do not normally leave reviews, but Masseria Xireni was one worth writing about. We travel a lot and stay in a number of agriturismo's or BnBs and we have high standards. This agriturismo is a real agriturismo. They grow and use their own organic produce even in the abundant meals that they serve in the evening. The food is genuine and typical of the region. One can also buy their produce. The farm has many animals and include horses, a donkey, sheep, turkeys, a rooster, chickens, cats, dogs and is surrounded by hills, fields and meadows at 800 metres above sea level. Our 5 year-old son loved seeing and "playing" with the animals. Our host Silvia also arranged a donkey ride. The Masseria is family owned and run through a lot of hard work and dedication. All the family is extremely friendly and as guests we truly felt at home spending 3 nights here. I would definitely recommend. The place also has a guest kitchenette that was ideal for preparing our own meals for the children when they got hungry. They catered very well for our tastes and preferences in food. Rooms are typical rustic furniture, comfortable and shower had good water pressure and proper hot water. Part of staying on a farm surrounded by animals, obviously at night there could be an occasional donkey bray, dog bark or rooster crowing but this is part of the character and fun of the farm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location, practical. Good homemade breakfast. Sweet hosts. You better speak a bit of Italian though (as in most hotels/B&Bs/etc in Sicily though). Bed was not the most comfortable and the room is a bit dark, but the location and its quietness make up for this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely family-ran accommodation with cosy and fresh rooms, overlooking the golden hills of Sicily's inland. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, although I had breakfast earlier than my partner and he said there were more savoury options later, which I would have preferred. Apart from this, everything is great. Environment is very typically Sicilian and the pool area offers stunning views of the countryside. Sunsets are quite breath-taking. Room was comfortable and well-equipped although a bit more toiletries would have been appreciated. Great place overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aggriturismo surrounded by rolling hills. Easily accessed from the main road. Nice pool and rooms plus very good local food served by Sylvia, who is a charming hostess.
