★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the real deal—high-quality lace made on Burano, not mass-produced elsewhere. Really nice stuff, and a beautiful garden. Obviously they charge more than many of the other shops on the island, but once you see the product you'll understand why.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t use the ATM inside the shop. It will add 12% extra on the exchange rate. It was recommended in the shop to pay in cash and get a 10% discount, so I went to the ATM as they recommended and took out some cash and paid. That lowered the overall experience quite a lot, due to it costed me more than to pay with a credit card. The shop itself had nice linen and the personnel was very helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come un sogno.....Martina Vidal lace shop on the island of Burano was my only mission on my 1st trip to Venice. I only wanted to buy a small piece of handmade lace to sew into my future daughter-in-law's wedding dress. I was weary from a day's travel from Rome and then the vaporetto when I walked in to the shop. This lace shop is MAGNIFICENT! I sew, my late Mom taught me....and how to look at seams when buying clothes etc. In my wildest dreams, I never expected anything so BEAUTIFUL! Graziella is the manager and the most gracious lady one could ever meet. Her staff is equally gracious. BUT MARIA, IS IL MASTER FEMINILE! She was sitting in a dusty rose satin covered chair 'making lace' when I walked in...I was in awe. I said grazie 'molto per sua lavora' and bent over and kissed her cheek. I could have easily spent $10K E.....but bought what I wanted for a little less than $300 USD. They do not take credit cards and have an ATM in the store....Thank God! Again, go there and bring lots and lots of euros or a credit card loaded for the ATM. Grazie Molto Graziella, Maria e signore...oh and I forgot, there is a lovely gentleman there too. There is the most gorgeous courtyard outside with a fountain and garden and gazebo where I was offered a glass of prosecco and I just sat there thinking....this must be what it is like in Paradise.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wonderful time in this store. The beautiful woman who helped me was so wonderful. She was kind and willing to give me so many outfits to try on. Her English was great and she made us feel so welcome. If you're going to Burono pleade stop here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing store. So much to look at and learn about. Their prices reflect the art and time it takes to make each piece. They were patient and told us the story behind the store. It was raining so we could not take advantage of their garden. I am so glad we found this place and were able to take home on of a kind treasures.
