G	Giuseppe Torelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Madonna di montalto altd 850slm,comune di pratovecchio_stia.origine risale alxvi secolo.l'esterno e porticato e' sorretto da due grosse collonne cilindriche,e con i secoli passati presentano una forte corrosione in particolare ai capitelli che sorregono il loggiato.chiusa ambo le parti da pareti per garantire maggior riparo dall'acqua,vento ai viandati e pellegrini in transito in dix firenze o fiesole.la chiesa fu posta in restauro nel 1949in onore della madonna.posta tra verdi prati e secolari castagneti e ottimo luogo nel periodo estivo x passeggiate e pic nich con tavoli sistemati,sotto a piante li presenti con famiglia e ottimo svago per bambini all'interno del parco naz della foresta casentinese...patrimonio dell'umanita'.in passato questo luogo fu scontro 1943,44 di cruenti scontri r rappresaglie tra tedeschi e partigiani.bellissimo posto come area panoramica. M	Michele Maione on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Proseguendo oltre l’abitato di Papiano si giunge alla cosiddetta Maestà di Montalto, una cappella con un bel porticato, restaurata nel 1949, e posta in una zona attrezzata per pic-nic e punto di partenza per escursioni sul Monte Falterona. La cappella fu costruita nel 1699, ma l’affresco della Madonna con Bambino entro l'edicola dell'altare sembra risalire al XV secolo. Splendida la vista che vi si gode del Pratomagno e dei castelli di Romena e Poppi.
