★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I often come to Colico, because I have a friend here, and with regret I can't find a good restaurant. I thought it was this, as the rating says, but I was partly wrong. The food is good I mean, but there are no typical local dishes, something is there but it is not enough for me that I would not like to eat parmigiana in Colico. But the real problem is that these dishes are reinvented by the chef, which is fine, but in some cases I found it excessive, for example my fillet of Angus placed on a bed of potatoes and covered. I would have preferred something cleaner. The service is good, young, kind and capable girls. The wine list is up to par. The location is not particularly beautiful. I would have seen this place well in an alternative Milan rather than in a retro neighborhood of Colico, especially considering the costs that I found, as usual in Colico, exaggerated. Evidently here we are affected by northern European tourism, prices are rising but the quality is not in the Italian average. In other words, at these costs, I am used to a much better quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The quality is absolutely unquestionable, especially for fish based dishes (kudos to the chef). However, the price is well above average and you're likely get out of the restaurant and still be hungry

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful dinner. Great food - simple but well curated and executed food and wine list. Informal but curated service. Warm yet modern atmosphere. Among the very best around lake Como and in bassa Valtellina. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locanada Capolago is a really nice, fine itallian restaurant, with a great selection of a la carte dishe, tasty menues and a well selected list of different itallian wines. If you are around the northern lake area, I would definately suggest a dinner here. And If you like to stay - they also offer some hotel rooms, and a really really good breakfast omlette, too!
