An extremely welcoming Ristorante in a picturesque hill village near Lucca

It doesn't get any more original Tuskany kittchen than this. Cuccina a la Mama, with regional ingrediants and haertfelt warmth. All the best to you!

One star, just because of let’s say a good food. It was not bad but the rest was really horrible. They use a good system. We were also a little stupid. We waited for personal about 15 minutes then I asked about a food and we waited next 10 minutes till they came to our table. I expected some menu with a food. The system is: personal tell you what for food they have but if you don’t ask about a price you don’t have any chance to know what cost how much. I took lasagne( was a small piece for a kid),my Girlfriend order a minestrone soup but she got a funghi soup. Took a two glaces of wine 0.1l and for this paid 22 euro. Compared to the city Vinci, which is more commercial place and I paid for two big pizzas, drink, french frice and two cakes 17 euro is this restaurant too expensive and no sense to visit.

Simple but very good food - the menu changes every day. The antipasti (big plate) are very much recommended. Excellent crostini, fried thingies, pancetta, vegetables.

While staying in Sillico, our hostess recommended we try this local gem - excellent recommendation! We started with a very tasty antipasti platter and then had some yummy pasta, soup, and dessert - all very reasonable prices and a wonderful setting on their terrace. We also frequented the shop linked to the restaurant several times during our stay for bread, staples, and some super local wine and jam. A morning espresso on their terrace was a great way to start the day. The two ladies that run this place are very friendly and helpful - highly recommend a visit either for a meal or just a quick drink and the opportunity to find some local products to take home as a souvenir or a gift.

Very nice restaurant, we spent a couple of days in an agriturismo nearby and we went there daily for lunch. The restaurant is always busy with mostly locals, the atmosphere is as Italian as it gets. Service is very good and you can feel that it is a family business. The dishes on the menu vary from day to day. We mostly had pasta, which is homemade and was very good.

It is a little difficult if you don't speak Italian because there is no menu, you are asked what you want (pasta, meat, etc) and told a few choices based on that. I don't necessarily know what I want when I walk in so that makes it a bit limiting. But I will never remember or understand a full oral menu, so there isn't another good way to do it without some kind of written menu. The prices are fair and the food was average to good.
