The lunch is homemade, very tasty and reasonably prices. Barbara, the owner, is a very nice person, she always makes you feel welcomed. After lunch we go “next door” and buy wine, again Barbara is very helpful and know what she is talking about.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic Italian restaurant with amazing ravioli and truly the best grilled chicken I’ve ever had. So tasteful, so juicy, so made with love. The host ánd the cook are extremely hospitable and truly love what they are doing. Go there when you’re in Castelnuovo!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place had probably the best food of our trip in Italy. Very tasty, homey and cheap. The waitress speaks English very well so don't worry about ordering.
Additionally there is a wine shop connected with the restaurant - they have a large variety of wines there and if you're unsure what to take you can ask. You can sample some of their wines too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this place after a walk around the town. We were warmly greated by the hostess and she arranged a place for us outside.
She showed us the daily menu which had enough choice for all of us. We asked for a red wine and she made clear that they had a lot of choices. She showed me the shop next to the restaurant and told me about the different wines. We chose a wine together which was absolutely amazing (Rosso di Montalcino 2017).
The diner was good. We had a T bone steak and it was one of the best I had in years. Also the pasta tortufo and mixed grill were very good. After the diner we had a glass of vin santo 2009. Amazing with the biscuits. (I can't find this wine online, maybe if the owner reads this he or she can help me with this?)
The hostess was very sweet and kind and we really loved this experience. I strongly recommend this place.

Food is local and fresh and also very good and cheap. The menu is changing everyday and it's handwritten. The staff is very nice and friendly. The whole family helps and all of them are very warmly. When you have finished your meal you get a housemade Grappa for free.
