★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop was an awful experience in Trieste which left an ugly mark on the otherwise wonderful weekend and I regret that we ever put a foot in it: We entered the shop to look for some jewellery. The shopkeeper was talking to another customer while we were looking at the showcases. Then suddenly he turns to us and asks us if we are looking for something particular. I answer that we are just looking. Then he replies: "Then get out and come back later, because I have to do business!" (Allora uscite e tornate piu tardi perche io ho da fare business). He literally kicked us out because in his opinion he could make more money out of the other customer than out of us. He didn't even bother to apologize or say "please". We were so staggered by his rudeness, that we simply left. This encounter clouded our evening though and that's why I am writing this review, so that other travelers are warned about the treatment a 'customer" receives in this shop if he or she is judged to yield little profit.
