★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve had Lo Scoglio on my list for so long, after seeing various Food Network chefs and Stanley Tucci rave about it. Since we were renting a boat for the day, I thought it was a good chance to go since it is far from the area we usually stay at in Amalfi.
Overall we had a delicious meal, and the service was great. I wouldn’t however give it 5 stars as it wasn’t among the best meals I’ve had in Italy, and I think it’s been a bit overhyped. You will have a good meal here, but don’t go out of your way.
We ordered the Octopus Salad, Bruscetta, spaghetti with zucchini and spaghetti with sea urchin. All were good dishes with seasonal vegetables. I just felt the pasta was a bit overcooked and both the pasta and sauce was kind of mushy. Their bread is fantastic.
Their kitchen is beautiful, as was the outdoor dining patio. They also have a nice boat launch which makes it easy to come by boat.

Absolutely recommended to anyone visiting the area!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food and service is not bad, but the prices are not according the quality. I had grilled prawns (40€) and got 4 small prawns with 2 leafs of salade.... also the wine (glaas) no choice, got a sweet wine which not fit the dish. (Since I travel with my kids only, a bottle is not an option for me) At Mary´s beach (neighbor) the same dish is much better and half the price and choice in wine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived here purely by accident, never heard of it before but 6 of 6 went in for lunch sitting outside on the "deck" with waves gently lapping beneath us. I ordered a mixed selection of seafood and fish.....there were several dishes as it turned out...but....it was delicious...a definite high point...never forgotten the place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come here during rough sea and eat great, tasty seafood while being surrounded by crashing and splashing waves (windows closed). This place shakes from time to time to the subdued sound of the waves below. The mussels come freshly fished from the water tank right outside of the entrance. We'll be back :)
