Pensavo fosse solo una questione di messa a punto, in realtà vi erano dei problemi interni che Alessandro ha trovato e risolto. Inoltre mi ha restaurato lo strumento in alcune parti e sono molto soddisfatto del risultato finale. Il clima che si respira presso la liuteria è di professionalità e cortesia, non ultimo tanta simpatia! Tra le altre cose Alessandro è molto bravo a spiegare gli interventi che vengono effettuati sullo strumento per risolvere i problemi e migliorarne suono ed estetica...insomma si imparano anche delle cose! È un piacere anche andarlo solo a trovare, la sua bottega ha il giusto “sapore” di antico. Ho eseguito una rettifica alla tastiera di un basso fretless e una riparazione elettrica ad un jazz del 1974, tutto eseguito in modo perfetto ed in pochissimo tempo al giusto prezzo. A breve porterò anche il mio contrabbasso. Finalmente un liutaio che come obbiettivo ha non solo quello di soddisfare il cliente ma di instaurare anche un rapporto di collaborazione. Alessandro is a very competent person, extremely helpful and very friendly. It is also a pleasure to just go and see him, his shop has the right "flavor" of antiquity. He was really looking forward to this project, and you can easily feel how much he knows about the luthier craftsmanship just by writing with him and by asking about his advice. He is a really nice and helpful Person and I learned a lot over the past few weeks, from him, thanks to this project. It took him less than 2 months from the first thoughts we traded and the day it arrived at my home. Really fast for an instrument that is made from scratch, If you ask me. He even provided me with pictures about the building process of the Bass and every step he took on building it. (The attached picture shows the final product.) A few days ago, I took it to my mentor, and we tested it out. We both fell in love with this beautiful looking instrument and the way it plays and feels. I even had a rough time getting it back from him. It was a pleasure to work with Alex and I will definitely look forward to work with him on future projects.
