Worst money taking machine ever! It doesn’t state anywhere that you have to put exact money in. It took my money and gave no change! I lost €8.50 and when I called the number for help listed I got an Italian voicemail. Also when we put the clothes in the machine I set a timer on my phone for the time shown 26 min but when we came back 10 min early we saw the timer jump from 16 min to 6. ??? Avoid this place and go to another laundromat.

Don't use it. The washing machine is bad. Clothes smell after the washing. Also, the dryer needs more than 20 minutes that it says at the information. Waste of money and time.

This place is a nightmare. First, as others here mentioned, the paying machine doesn't necessarily have change to give back. I was "lucky" to only lose 1 euro due to that problem. Second, you cannot choose the detergent, or even see for yourself that there is indeed one in a proper amount in the machine. The cloths come out of the machine with no fragrance whatsoever. The washing is 20 minutes long, which is not long enough for a proper cleaning (most home laundry machines offer programs from 45 min to several hours). Third, and much worse - you cannot change the heat level of the dryer, although the instructions clearly state that you can. Of course you only learn that after it is to late, and you have already used the washing machine. So you are left with two options: taking you soggy wet cloths somewhere else, dripping your way through the city, or take your chances with the dryer's default settings. I took my chances and half of my laundry load got shrunk and totally ruined. Hundreds of euro worth of cloths went to the bin. And you have to pay for two drying cycles as 20 min cycle is hardly enough to get the work done. Oh, but it gets even worse: as there are no doors to this place, and since it is just a meter off the sidewalk, you have to take out your underwear out of the dryer and into your bag in front of a cheering crowed of people in one of the busiest parts of Palermo. Now that’s an embarrassment hard to forget. So, since you stand there in the middle of the street with your clothes, wishing for this nightmare to be over, you can't take you time to fold your cloths nicely, and you just cram them quickly into your bag, making them extremely wrinkled. Finally, there is no bench to sit on or to use to organize your things. You have to pack everything on the dirty street floor of this wonderful but notoriously dirty city.
