There are plenty of shops for towny types of things like meals, coffees snacks, gelato and trinkets.

Post 6 pm. aperitivo is definitely something to consider doingdo near the port square.

(We also took the ferry boat to the island within the lake) There is a schedule located to the right of the docks.

There are restaurants and hotels around.. don't be shy check things out.. extremely walkable. Ask a local where the best gelato is located!!! You will not regret it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited at the beginning of the year. Summer kind of very busy ? I imagine. It is one of the 10 best Italian hamlets (borghi) dating back the sixteen century, for not going back to the Neolithic on the Lago D'orta . The large historic areas is pedestrian. The location is reachable by train from Novara (Orta Miasino). Food and wine are part of the great Piedimont cuisine, Bagna Cauda, Barolo, Bonet. Great trekking and MTB tours. Cannot be missed.
